Mary Tartaro grew up in NY has a BFA in painting an MFA in Sculpture and worked for many years as an art professor and gallery director.
She. works in both two and three dimensional media. Her practice is not confined to any specific material or process but evolves with and adapts to specific concepts conveyed in the work. Recurrent themes deal with issues around Environmentalism, Religion, Mythology, Feminism and commentary on contemporary culture.
