Suzanne is a long-time resident of Bonny Doon. In the tranquil environment of the coastal mountains she practices wire wrap, an art form where no solder is used. There are different types of wire wrapping from the embellished wire sculpting to the simplistic caging to the “hippie” design. A self-taught wire jewelry artist, she developed her particular style of border wrap by observing the work of many different artists, finding a style she liked, and striving to make her jewelry pieces “similar but different.”

Suzanne’s work includes mainly pendants, bracelet and earrings with the occasional necklace or even a rosary thrown in. She also does special requests. She works with sterling silver but will do the occasional stone in gold-filled wire. Her signature topper is a fall of tailored swirls and curls and her favorite stones to wrap include turquoise, moonstones and rutilated quartz. These items and more are created in a studio above her garage overlooking a meadow replete with deer, wild turkeys and quail. In addition to creating artisan jewelry, Suzanne is an enthusiastic gardener and chef. Her motto: “Don’t wait for something; make it happen.”
