A painting is a statement. It serves as a vehicle for engagement, deliberation and contemplation. It exists as an object of aspiration, a provocateur, and a companion. My artwork reflects my fascination with colour and forms. They celebrate the act of painting by addressing the formal elements, endeavoring to attain tonal balance, balance and rhythm. The deliberate exploration and amalgamation of intense cool and warm colours is a venture to capture tension, reverberation, and interest. By diminishing representational references, the interplay of colours and forms can be investigated along with patterns, motif and compositional movement.
The artwork lucidly affirm themselves as paintings, but titillate with the notion of landscape, fauna and flora. I am obscuring the distinction between the realms of representational lines and fluid forms. The enterprise of my art is to evoke a sense of tranquility while experiencing pleasure in their rhythm and intimation to nature.
